Why Must Cookies and Javascript Be Enabled in My Browser?

In terms for mere mortals:

  • HTTP - The rules (protocol) that web browsers use to access resources on the Internet.
  • Stateless - Data is not retained when you visit different web pages.
  • AJAX - It's quite difficult (nigh impossible) to make a responsive, cross-platform web application that is usable for anyone who isn't a programmer.

Ultimately, what this means to you is that we take your security and privacy very seriously:

  • If data does not need to be transferred for Remote Link to function – it is not transferred.
  • Data transactions between FabSuite and Remote Link web servers (via RESTful API) have always been (and will always be) encrypted and compressed.
  • We don't – and will not ever – use tracking cookies.
  • We take every measure to secure and restrict cookies so that they can only be utilized by your Remote Link site.
  • We do not (and will not ever) keep sensitive information1) stored in your browser via cookies, web storage, caching, etc.

1) “Sensitive information” is often a loaded term on the web. We define it in as broad of terms as possible: the sort of thing you wouldn't want posted on the Internet for all to see. Examples might be credit card details, identification info, addresses, and the current geographical locale of your children. Imagine a paranoid and highly overprotective mother grizzly bear and you are beginning to understand how seriously we take data security.
